Why should you become a member?
Information
The Eisenhower Partnership serves as a source of information regarding items of concern and interest in and around the Valley. As a member, you can be one of the first to know what is happening on the corridor -- what projects are planned, when events are scheduled, what amenities are being planned or are underway, even what the zoning is for a particular piece of property.
Marketing
Whether you are marketing land, residential homes, office or industrial space, the Eisenhower Partnership can assist in your efforts. We will give tours of the area, discuss plans for the corridor with your prospect, and furnish you with marketing materials about the corridor.
Shaping the Community
Through our Streetscape Guidelines and signage programs, Adopt-A-Median, and our review of development proposals, we afford you the opportunity to have a say in the look of the Eisenhower corridor. If we are not covering an issue you feel is important, we need to know about it. Your voice as a member can help us set priorities, obtain funding for improvements and shape the future of the Eisenhower corridor.
Networking
Our membership includes citizens and small businesses, developers and professional service firms, as well as large corporations and political leaders. This mix gives you an opportunity to network with individuals with common interests in one geographic area, the ability to market your products and services, and to meet key community leaders.
Transportation
The Partnership is committed to the improvement of bus service, full use of the Van Dorn and Eisenhower Metro stations, better connections to Duke Street and the expansion of the bike trails in the area for the enjoyment of all who live and work on the corridor. As a member, you can help improve transportation in the valley.
Communications
Members receive the Partnership's monthly newsletter, Valley News. Our General Membership Directory is available online for all to access. Our Contact Membership Directory is available online for members only. Our website also has a blog and a forum for you to keep current with the Valley.
Access to City Leaders
The Partnership provides a stage for expressing concerns about the corridor to political leaders of Alexandria and for giving input on Alexandria legislative proposals.
Special Events
Members are able to participate in membership mixers designed for networking and learning about what is happening on the Avenue, attend our Annual Meeting and hear from leaders of the community, or attend any other professional and/or social event sponsored by the Partnership throughout the year.
Leadership Opportunities
We are an organization run by its members. Members have the opportunity to participate in any of our operating committees and task forces or to be a member of the Board of Directors. Either way you can have a voice in areas that interest you.
Relationships
The Eisenhower Partnership cannot operate without its members – a diverse group who desire the best for the Eisenhower Valley and the City of Alexandria at large.
Web Site
As an Eisenhower Partnership member, you will receive a free link to your web site. This free service is another great way to obtain potential customers.
